The kids take on experiments using sound waves to control the behaviour of a stream of water; how the size of vibrations affects the pitch of sound; how to use pencils to manipulate polymer strands; how yawns can be contagious and turning water into ice instantly via disrupted nucleation centres. Fun future facts check out a sound-based fire extinguisher that uses sound waves to disrupt the oxygen source of a fire, and a virtual control system based on haptic feedback.
